TSH IRMA

The TSH IRMA test measures the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in the blood using the Immunoradiometric Assay (IRMA) technique, which provides high sensitivity and specificity. TSH is produced by the pituitary gland and regulates the thyroid’s production of T3 and T4 hormones. Abnormal TSH levels indicate possible thyroid dysfunction, such as hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.
